Face | Kenneth Fok: An NPC deputy focusing on sports integration in Greater Bay Area
China's "two sessions", the major annual political gathering of the country, are taking place in Beijing this week. Kenneth Fok, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and Vice President of Fok Ying Tung Group, makes suggestions on sports integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"Sport" is an important label for Kenneth Fok. He has always been interested in the development of sport.
China's 15th National Games will be held in the Greater Bay Area in 2025. It will be the first time that Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will co-host the country's large sports events. Fok said that the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have a lot of experience in organizing sports events and these three governments are fully committed to ensuring the successful hosting of the race. Fok hopes that the Greater Bay Area can co-host more sports events in the future.
Fok pays close attention to the government work report submitted today to the national legislature for deliberation. He said that the government work report provides a window to observe China's development plan for 2025, thus Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao can jointly contribute to the nation's progress.
