China's First Nationwide-Themed Tourist Train is Set to Launch

China Railway Zhengzhou Group's first themed tourist train, "Central Plains Railway·South of the Yellow River," will debut in mid-April after upgrades. Designed to integrate regional culture with rail elements, the train features hotel-style cabins, personalized butler service, and accessible bathrooms for senior travellers. This initiative aligns with national strategies to boost tourism consumption and elderly-friendly travel services. Operated jointly with CRRC Qingdao Sifang, the train adopts modernized bullet-train designs to enhance comfort. It will connect cultural attractions across northern and southern regions, offering curated travel routes as part of Zhengzhou's railway-tourism integration efforts to stimulate high-quality tourism development.
