China Takes Women’s 3000m Relay Bronze After 9 Years

China’s women’s team won bronze in the 3000m relay at the 2026 Short Track Speed Skating World Championships in Montreal, marking their first medal in the event in nine years. The quartet of Zhang Chutong, Wang Xinran, Gong Li and Wang Ye surged from fourth to third with two laps remaining to secure the podium finish, delivering a much-needed boost after a challenging season for China’s short track squad.
