Bridge of Unity: China–Tanzania Friendship Soars Over Lake Victoria

Tanzania inaugurated the longest low-tower cable-stayed bridge in Africa—built by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and China Railway No. 15 Bureau, reducing travel across Lake Victoria from over two hours to just five minutes. The bridge has strengthened China–Africa collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, fostering local economic growth and promoting deep cultural and technical exchange.
