Chinese Speed Skater Lin Xiaojun Announces Withdrawal from Season Due to Injury

On February 11, Lin Xiaojun shared a farewell video in Chinese, reflecting on his experience at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin. He confirmed his withdrawal from the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery and rehabilitation.
Lin, who won gold in the men’s 500m short track event, sustained a shoulder injury in November 2024 but delayed surgery to compete in the Asian Winter Games. Despite speculation from Korean netizens about his nationality, Lin reaffirmed hiscommitment to Team China, playing for the Chinese team at the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
