Face｜A Slovakian businessman optimistic about China's vast market

China has recently unveiled a set of measures to further optimize its departure tax refund policy to meet overseas tourists' needs better and expand inbound consumption, which is the latest development in its ongoing efforts to facilitate the entry of overseas people into China. 

Not long ago, David, a businessman from Slovakia, who benefited from China's policy of granting 15-day visa-free entry to Slovak citizens, came to China to attend the fifth China International Consumer Products Expo in Hainan, which is a bridge for global brands to enter the Chinese market through Hainan. 

In an interview with China Youth Daily, David said he enjoyed coming to China because he didn't have to go to the embassy to get a visa and everything was very convenient.

12 years ago, David founded a food company called Organica Europea, which produces healthy and functional food, free of sugar and preservatives. He has a background in computer science, so he and his team members decided to use machine learning and computers to create the formulas for the products.

When he came to China, David realized that there were a lot of people doing business in China and a lot of opportunities. China has a large market with a high demand for European food products, known for their high quality ingredients, so he felt there were many opportunities to explore in the future.

He met with some potential distributors and partners in the expo. "I think China should open up for sure. Just like Chinese products are going out to the world, the world should bring products here," David said. (By Ma Ziqian/China Youth Daily)
