On the morning of May 5, China’s 22-year-old Wu Yize won his first World Snooker Championship title at the Crucible Theatre, defeating Shaun Murphy 18-17 in a thrilling final. The victory marks the second consecutive year that a Chinese player has lifted the sport’s top trophy after Zhao Xintong’s win last year.
