APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting in Mexico Advances Regional Cooperation

The second ABAC meeting of 2026 took place in Mexico City from April 22 to 25, bringing together over 200 business leaders from 21 APEC economies. Discussions focused on regional integration, digital innovation, sustainability and connectivity. Chinese representatives called for advancing the FTAAP and shared insights on “AI+” initiatives. The meeting endorsed statements supporting the Asia-Pacific free trade area and connectivity. China will host one of the two remaining ABAC meetings this year in Shenzhen.(photo/China Youth Daily)
