Iran Delegation Impresses at Asian Beach Games Opening Ceremony

The 6th Asian Beach Games opened in Sanya, Hainan, on April 22, where the Iranian delegation drew attention during the athletes’ parade.

Entering tenth and led by a beach soccer player as flag bearer, the team made a unified gesture by placing their right hands on their chests.

Iran has sent 61 male athletes to compete across 10 events, including beach soccer, beach handball and beach volleyball. As a consistent participant in all previous editions, the country has won 56 medals in total.
