Nearly 90% Young People Willing to Spend on Sports
A survey by China Youth Daily covering 1,056 college students shows 87.23% of young respondents plan to spend on sports, with 75% deeming it worthwhile. Badminton, running and table tennis are most popular.
Sportswear and equipment top consumption choices, driven by personal interest and value. Young people favor diverse sports from fitness to outdoor activities like skiing and hiking, and some join niche sports via intercity training.
Sports consumption brings physical fitness and stress relief. However, issues like uneven quality, high prices and limited student discounts exist. Most respondents hope for more affordable products, student benefits and better facilities.
