Guarding the "Children of the Stars": Small Drops Wearing Away the Stone, Another Year of Persistence
April 2 marks the 19th World Autism Awareness Day. Multiple Chinese college volunteer teams and a Beijing rehab center have long helped autistic children via art therapy, sensory training and independent living courses, with tailored intervention plans and systematic support. They also empower parents through psychological counseling, skill training and handicraft workshops to ease their pressure. These efforts help autistic kids break social barriers, improve life skills and integrate into society, while volunteers gain growth in the mutual healing journey. The programs have benefited thousands of families and built a professional, collaborative volunteer network across regions.
