On January 2, 2026, Douyin Life Services released New Year's holiday consumption data. From December 30, 2025, to January 1, 2026, sales of supermarket and shopping vouchers on Douyin increased by 164% year-on-year. Sales of clothing, footwear, and hats, as well as jewelry, rose by 147% and 109% respectively.
