China's Leap | ​China HSR operating mileage exceeds 50,000 km

With the Xi'an-Yan'an High-speed Railway officially put into operation at 10 a.m. on December 26, the operating mileage of China's high-speed rail (HSR) officially exceeded the 50,000-kilometer milestone, an increase of about 32% compared with the end of 2020.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China has completed and put into operation 12,000 kilometers of high-speed rail lines. China's HSR operational mileage ranks first in the world, exceeding the total of all other countries combined.
