47 Rare Birds Tour University Campus

In an amazing sight, 47 Oriental White Storks—a critically endangered species—recently flew over Anhui Normal University! The birds, known as "bird pandas," circled low above the campus, like a feathered inspection tour.

Professor Chen Pan, an animal expert, captured the moment. He said such a large group visiting an urban campus is rare. The storks were likely drawn by the green spaces and water, but didn't stay due to human activity. This visit shows the campus is a "green oasis" thanks to ecological efforts.
