37-Year-Old Ma Long Guides Beijing to First-Round Victory at National Games
On the evening of November 14th, 37-year-old veteran Ma Long led the Beijing team in the first round of the men's team group stage at the 15th National Games table tennis event, securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Henan team. For this competition, Ma Long only registered for the men's team event with a clear goal: to claim the only missing title—the National Games men's team championship—for his "double Grand Slam".
Notably, having been away from the court for over a year, Ma Long humbly stated after the game that he was not leading the young players; instead, it was the players who were driving him forward. (Photo by VCG)
