Data in China | $83.49 billion! CIIE concludes with record-high intended deals

The curtain came down on the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Monday. As the first major economic and diplomatic event since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the expo saw a new record high in intended transactions, highlighting the immense appeal of China's vast market. According to the CIIE Bureau, this year's CIIE recorded 83.49 billion U.S. dollars in one-year intended deals, up 4.4 percent from the previous edition and hitting a new high.
