From livestreaming sales of pears and Luobuma (Apocynum venetum) leaves to village tourism and desert performances, Yuli County in Bayingolin, Xinjiang, is thriving. Young livestreamers boosted local products with sales of 1.7 billion yuan in 2024, while the Luobu Village scenic area drew 3.14 million visitors from January to August 2025.
