Couples Celebrate Qixi Traditions and Embrace Modern Wedding Practices in Hubei

On August 28, 77 couples from China and abroad participated in the 2025 Youth Collective Wedding and Traditional Marriage Experience in Yunxi County, Hubei, the “Hometown of Qixi Festival.” The event aimed to preserve Qixi culture and promote civilized, meaningful, and memorable weddings. Couples completed traditional rites including hair-tying, vows, and joint rituals. Organizers said the activity encourages simple, culturally rich weddings and sets a trend for modern Chinese marriage practices, highlighting the blend of tradition and contemporary values.（Photo provided to China Youth Daily）
