On August 25, at the Penguin Pavilion of Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Hengqin, two baby emperor penguins, the first to hatch named Pipi and JiuJiu, celebrated their one-month birthday. The fluffy little ones peeked and wobbled in the snow, curiously exploring their new world. In 2024, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom successfully bred 17 baby emperor penguins, not only breaking its own record but also setting a new global record for the number of emperor penguins bred under human care.
