A China Youth Daily Social Survey Center study (n=1,336) reveals 62.8% of respondents mind how they are addressed in social interactions, especially terms like "Uncle" for young men or "Auntie."

With increased summer travel and stranger encounters, the survey highlights the importance of using universally accepted, age-appropriate titles to avoid discomfort. Official research underscores the sensitivity surrounding personal titles in Chinese social culture.
