Chinese customs will implement zero-tariff treatment for 53 African countries with diplomatic ties to China in a bid to use China's vast market to support shared development, Lü Daliang, spokesperson for China's General Administration of Customs, said on July 14. This move is intended to leverage China's vast market to promote shared development and represents the latest step by China to encourage the import of African goods.
