Youth Survey | Why Are More Chinese Students Choosing to Study in New Zealand?

According to the 2025 Study Abroad Report, Chinese students are drawn to New Zealand for its natural beauty (64%), political and social stability (56%), and cost-effective, high-quality education (48%). Over 58% enroll in the “NZ Eight” top universities, and satisfaction is especially high in course design, teaching, and social integration.
Popular majors include culture, business, IT, and creative arts. As international education rebounds, favorable immigration policies and student experiences make New Zealand an increasingly strategic choice.
