Breakthroughs in China's Advanced Medical Technologies Benefit Public Access

At a recent forum, experts highlighted China’s progress in third-generation artificial hearts and domestic proton therapy systems. Devices like the “HeartCon” have achieved a 91.6% one-year survival rate, exceeding international benchmarks. Proton therapy, using China’s first approved domestic system, has treated over 600 cases with a local tumor control rate above 95%. Medical insurance initiatives have further reduced costs, making once high-end treatments, such as heart implants and proton therapy, more affordable to ordinary patients.
