Data Ripple | R&D Investment in China Rises Significantly in 2024

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's R&D spending in 2024 was 3,613 billion yuan, up 8.3% year-on-year. The intensity of R&D investment reached 2.68%, 0.10 percentage points higher than the previous year. Basic research funds were 249.7 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5%, accounting for 6.91% of R&D funds.
