Data Ripples｜China's NEV production and sales surpassed 12 million in 2024

According to the State Council Information Office, China's NEV production and sales both surpassed 12 million in 2024, with 12.888 million and 12.866 million respectively, new-energy vehicles(NEVs) represent 40.9 percent of China's total new car sales, leading the global NEV market for 10 consecutive years.

China supplies 70%of the world's battery materials and 60%of global power batteries,, andhas developed 12.82 million charging piles and 4,443 battery-swapping stations. The fast charging technology, which charges 80% in 15 minutes, has been mass-produced and applied.
