艾奥瓦州友人卢卡·贝隆：青年是推动中美关系的重要力量

中国青年报客户端讯（中青报·中青网见习记者 李悦 记者 李媛媛）作为中国的老朋友，美国艾奥瓦州友人卢卡·贝隆与中国早已结下了不解之缘。他对记者表示，“未来5年邀请5万名美国青少年来华交流学习。这项倡议对中美民间交流来说是一个巨大的机遇，不仅对前来访问的美国学生意义重大，对身处中国的中国青年来说也同样重要，两国青年在互访中交换观点与感受，将推动中美之间的友好交往，增进两国人民之间的友谊。”

10月10日，应中国人民对外友好协会邀请，来自多个国家和地区的300多名外国前政要、王室成员、国际友好组织负责人、友好人士等齐聚北京，在北京中轴线感受古都的魅力，在北京城市副中心实地感受中国城市规划建设与文化传承保护成果。

As an old friend of China, Luca Berrone from Iowa, USA, has long held a deep connection with China.

He told reporters, "Inviting 50,000 young Americans to study and engaging in exchanges in China over the next five years could expand people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States. This initiative presents a tremendous opportunity for grassroots exchanges between the two countries. It's not only significant for the visiting American students but also for Chinese youth in China. By exchanging views and experiences during these visits, the youth of both countries will foster friendly relations and enhance mutual understanding between the Chinese and American people."

On October 10, at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, more than 300 former foreign dignitaries, members of royal families, leaders of international friendship organizations, and friends from various countries and regions gathered in Beijing. They experienced the charm of the ancient capital along the central axis of Beijing and witnessed the achievements in urban planning, construction, and cultural heritage preservation in Beijing's sub-center.
